Who are you?

As our Quality and Food Safety Manager, you will be responsible for product quality, food safety, and hygiene within one of our Infarm Growing Centres, where we produce plants at scale using vertical farming techniques, as well as our local in-store operations. You've worked in a quality-control function in an industrial manufacturing or food-production environment, or you've worked with Infarm's plant production techniques. You are well-organized and dependable, capable of understanding and following clear processes and directions, and enjoy doing hands-on work.You like a wide range of experiences. You enjoy being tested. You have a strong desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

*Perform GlobalGAP internal audits and GMP site inspections, and take all necessary corrective and preventive steps. Send all pertinent information to the QA/FS Specialist.
*Implement and maintain a quality management system, and perform product quality inspections in accordance with established procedures.
*Implement and maintain GlobalGAP standards and procedures *Lead third-party and regulatory inspections *Conduct site FS risk assessments and communicate any potential issues related to Q/FS (recalls, food defence, etc.) to the QA/FS Specialist *Monitor and validate the maintenance of QA/FS-related records.
   Requirements
*2+ years of quality assurance/food safety experience preferred, as well as a degree in agricultural, food science, food technology, or a similar discipline.
Audits, HACCP, GMPs, traceability, and regulatory knowledge are all examples of quality and food safety management systems.

*Experience with Google Suite and intermediate presentation skills *Flexibility to travel to secondary nearby facilities as needed *Valid driver's licence with clean driving record and ability to drive on behalf of the company in own, rented, or company car *Applicants must be currently authorised to work full-time in (Canada/US).
