About the position

The Food Development Manager's job description is to improve and develop the menu and product lines of Alshaya Food Division's many brands and external customer base, both now and in the future. 
Combine product development with commercial understanding of what will be profitable to the business and the consumer end customer by combining innovation, innovative ideas, and great cooking capabilities.


Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage the product development process from conception to delivery in the marketplace;
  • Evaluate market prospects and generate new concepts based on the product portfolio;
  • Oversee the creation of concept art and samples, as well as obtaining approvals and finishing all items and packaging prior to launch.
  • Manage and manage variety of documents, including product briefs, costings, assembly manuals, and product specifications, among others.
  • Communicate with brands about the various stages of product development as well as the duration of the process;
  • To ensure that the quality of the food meets or exceeds the brand's criteria of excellence
Requirements & Qualifications:

You will possess/become:


* At least 8 years of experience in a similar position is required.

* Extensive experience developing pastries, cakes, and desserts

* A strong background in food manufacturing is required.

* In a central production facility, knowledge of food safety and quality criteria is required.

* Project management and planning experience

* Negotiation and persuasion abilities.
